Why choose a horse riding holiday in Zimbabwe?
Our Horse Riding Eco-Safari is an incredible opportunity to work on a family-run ranch and immerse yourself in the raw beauty of Zimbabwe. Explore 50,000 acres of unspoiled African wilderness and forge deep and long-lasting bonds with the land, wildlife and horses. This is a unique horse riding work experience in Africa, where you will ride through vast open landscapes, encounter wildlife wandering freely, do volunteer work training horses, and visit local communities. More than a working holiday, this is a home where you can be part of a close-knit, working ranch community.
Where adventure meets family:
So much more than a horse riding safari
The reserve is home to more than 40 horses and foals, and your daily horse riding itinerary will be varied and full. During the horse riding working holiday, you will explore the ranch on horseback, spotting wildlife and their tracks on the way. Go swimming with the horses, herd cattle, and learn traditional ranching techniques. As a horse volunteer, you’ll also help with daily horse management tasks, including training, lunging and supporting the stables. Riders of all levels are welcome and everyone will have an incredible, meaningful and useful time.
Each day offers time with the horses, grooming, caring and riding – building connections between you and your horse.
Is this horseback safari holiday right for me?
Far from crowds and deep in 50,000 acres of African bush, the ranch is a family-run home from home. You’ll join daily horseback safaris, spot wildlife, work in the stables and experience farm life at your own pace. Whether you want to feel the wind in your hair as you canter through the wide open spaces or slow down and reconnect with nature, this horseback working holiday will get under your skin in the best way. If you’re an experienced rider who wants freedom and adventure on horseback, or just want to sharpen your skills and help out, you’ll be made to feel like part of the herd in no time.
Discover the soul of Africa on horseback and experience a working holiday with a difference – one that has family at its heart.

About the project
The ranch is built on three things: a deep love of horses, a commitment to the land and its wildlife and a genuine connection to the local community, who make the ranch what it is. This is not a typical horse riding safari experience, it is an honest, authentic way to spend unhurried time on a piece of unspoilt Africa.
The experience is rooted in connection, conservation and community.
Conservation Ethos:
Care of land – a commitment to sustainable farming practices, maintaining healthy soil, reducing waste and preserving natural water sources. The goal is to create a thriving, eco-friendly environment that supports the ranch and its wildlife.
Care of wildlife – wildlife conservation efforts and maintaining biodiversity are top priorities.
Care of people – without engaged people, wildlife cannot thrive. The ranch invests in local community projects, promoting environmental awareness and engaging the community in the volunteer program.
